Converting Raw Images
|
Consider this: Two thirds of the image data is missing.
For each pixel there is either red, green or blue intensity information.
The other two color intensities have to be estimated. That means, if you
don't shoot raw, you trust your cameras processor to have the ultimate
interpolation - for all time. There is no turning back when when your image
is saved only as a jpeg file.

There is continuously new development on demosaicing techniques, giving better results
for your digital images. Several users have said it's like having a new camera when they
use a raw converter with another decoding procedure.
RawXplorer offers two different conversion options. Canon's SDK options as
well as RawXplorer's own decoding and interpolation. You may compare
the two different alternatives in preview mode, side by side in multiple
